Last week the Reception class had a wonderful trip to Danbury Country Park for a Very Hungry Caterpillar Day. They did meadow sweeping, acted out the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar, did bark rubbings, grasshopper herding, hapa-zome (you might have to google that one!) and finally went for a cool barefoot walk in a stream and made ‘mudipillars’.
The following day they had a Teddy Bears’ picnic for 54 children! The children enjoyed playing with their pre-school friends and enjoyed a picnic tea prepared by Mr Rupert.
