This year we will be celebrating Languages Day on Thursday 26th September, with an Italian theme!
This will be a non-uniform day for all pupils and staff. We will be asking all children to dress in the colours of the Italian flag (red, white, green) or in Italian themed fancy dress.
Year 6 will be helping me to lead a special assembly on this day and all children will have some Italian language taster sessions during their MFL lesson that week. Rupert and the kitchen team will be providing us with an Italian themed lunch. We look forward to a fun and informative day.
Italian quiz
There will be an Italian quiz available to all children in the Prep School and a slightly simpler version of the quiz for children in Year 2. This is to encourage their independent research skills – so please encourage your child to take part in this quiz. There will be rewards and prizes for those children who have taken part.
Quiz sheets will be available from Madame Beardsworth from Monday 16th September and should be returned by Friday 27th September at the latest.
Italian club
We are excited about the launch of our Italian club this week, run by Lingotots. There are spaces still available if any children are still interested in joining.
