On a sunny October day our Form 5 and 6 cross country runners raced around the Hylands Park course, which has a slight uphill push to the finish. Knowing what to expect this time, the year 5s ran confidently. Nicole won the race, with Tilly in 12th and the whole team finishing in the top 30 and Damon continued his fine form, placing 3rd.
The year 6 girls really gave it their all, with Daisy coming in 10th and the whole team finishing in the top 25. With the pressure mounting and emotions riding high, the year 6 boys did not disappoint. Oliver finished 2nd, Alexander 4th and Matthew Tootill 5th, with all the others close on their heels. The teams were placed 2nd, 3rd, 1st and 1st respectively and Miss Cole was immensely proud of their efforts. Colours awarded to Daisy C, Nicole T, Olivia P, Amelia M, Lizzy O, Oliver B, Alexander W, Matthew T, Harrison S and Matthew B.
Nicole, Damon and the Form 6 teams ran in a county qualifying race at Melbourne on 10th October – we don’t know the outcome yet, but Nicole came 3rd!
