On a blustery day recently, a group of Form 5 and 6 runners took part in a cross country race organised as a qualifier for the county event in the spring.
For Form 5, this was their first experience at an inter-school event so many of them were nervous as they lined up with around 100 other children on the starting line.
All the runners tried incredibly hard: special mentions must go to the Year 5 girls who were the fastest team and therefore qualify for the race next year! Well done also to Isabel B for coming 3rd, Aster S-C 8th, Johnny G 10th, Harry H 11th, Nicole M 5th and Damon W 2nd in their respective races.
This means that Isabel and Damon also qualify as individuals for the county race. The first league race of the
season takes place at Chelmer Park on 7th November. A fantastic start to the season, thank you to all the runners and their supporters.
