The U11 rugby players battled valiantly at the National Schools’ Rugby Tournament Finals at Epsom College last Sunday. Unfortunately they found their opponents a little too strong on the day. Despite their lack of success they can hold their heads high knowing that they have competed at the very highest level of under 11 rugby.

The U8 rugby team also played in the Tournament at Epsom College. Widford were put into a group with 4 other large prep schools. They played incredibly well throughout the tournament demonstrating some fine passing and defensive skills. Widford lost their first two opening games but came back from 6 tries to 2 down to draw 8 all in the third game and then saved their best performance until last with a comprehensive win over St Faiths.

Not only did the boys show exceptional rugby skills but they also showed great team spirit throughout.
