Phil Norton, a Street Pastor, recently delivered one of our morning assembly.  He gave a wonderful talk about the work the Street Pastor teams do in Chelmsford on Friday and Saturday nights.

This is not an easy topic to discuss with young children, but Phil spoke with sensitivity, compassion and humour about how they support vulnerable people in our town.  He talked about homelessness and the support the Pastors give to those sleeping rough.  He also explained why Pastors carry a first aid kit, water, foil blankets and, most importantly, flip-flops and lollipops!

It is wonderful work the Street Pastor team does in helping the police and paramedics keep everyone safe on an evening out in town.
