We recently welcomed Mrs Amanda Hardy QC who gave a talk to the Prep school pupils on The British Legal System.

Her fascinating talk covered how laws are made, the different types of criminal and civil courts and the roles of judges, barristers, solicitors and jurors.  Mrs Hardy invited the children to try on her wig and gown and discussed the history of Court dress.  After taking questions from the children, she commented, “I was delighted to see how engaged the children were.  They showed an excellent understanding of the legal and parliamentary system and asked some wonderful questions.”

Mrs Hardy’s visit was as part of the pupils’ PSHEE curriculum that requires children to have an understanding of how The British Legal System works.  Our thanks goes to Mrs Hardy for giving up her time to speak to the Prep School.
