The Reception Class loved learning about Chinese New Year last week.
They listened to the story of ‘The Great Race’ and learned why the years are named after animals and in which order. The children had a fantastic time making a Chinese dragon and doing a dragon dance (complete with mini orchestra) to the office staff and Form 1 children.
They also watched Mrs White make a Chinese meal in a wok and, best of all, they enjoyed eating it. A few children tried using chopsticks, but not very successfully!
