This term we will be collecting donations for the Chelmsford Foodbank. We collected for the Foodbank in this way last year and they were thrilled with the donations you gave so generously.

Each week we will be letting you know food and other items that we will be collecting, for example one week it may be tea bags, another sponge puddings.

The Foodbank is a lifeline for people who, through no fault of their own, be it illness, bereavement or redundancy, find themselves in crisis.

Last year the Trussell Trust network, of which Chelmsford Foodbank is part, provided three day food supplies to over 480,000 children. Referrals are made by frontline professionals working in social services, Citizens advice and health visitors. When people with vouchers go to the Foodbank to collect food and supplies, they are able to have a cup of tea and a discussion with people who are trained to listen and to help, including putting them in touch with support groups that could help them towards getting out of crisis.

Thank you in advance for your generosity – donating even one item a week will make a huge difference to families in crisis.

Please bring your donations of food and other items listed and leave them in the box in the entrance hall.
